TESL Kingston Affiliate Service Award

Every year at the AGM, TESL Kingston presents an Affiliate Service Award to an active TESL Kingston member who has shown outstanding service and commitment to the work of the affiliate chapter by contributing freely of their time and expertise according to their individual skills and talents.

2018-2019 Affiliate Service Award Recipient

This year’s recipient of the TESL Kingston Affiliate Service Award is Ellen Caftel Turcotte. 

Every year, TESL Ontario encourages affiliate chapters to recognize a member of the executive that has made a real contribution to the running of the affiliate. This year, TESL Kingston would like to honour Ellen Turcotte. Ellen has served as the TESL Kingston Treasurer for many years and her attention to detail has kept TESL Kingston in good financial shape despite recent funding issues from TESL Ontario. Being treasurer is an important and time-consuming job with banking, organizing floats and tallying cash for events, making reimbursements and writing cheques. In addition, Ellen has served on the Nominating Committee and has organized the never-ending book sale for many years. TESL Kingston is very lucky to have Ellen as part of its team and greatly appreciate her dedication to her positions within the organization.
